SECURTEK LAUNCHES PIONEER VOLUNTEER CLUB

July, 2004 - With fourty-two SecurTek Pioneer Employee Volunteers already signed on, the freshly launched “Volunteers in Action” is off to a strong start. With Deborah Harris leading an executive group of thirteen other SecurTek employees, and half of all SecurTek employees committed to volunteering their time, great things are bound to happen.

“We are in the beginning of an adventure with limitless possibilities and what a place that is to be! In the everyday hub of the work world, we often exist next to each other and exchange pleasantries, but rarely step outside the box to really "know" each other. As President of the SecurTek Pioneers, I am afforded every day, the opportunity to discover the talents and generosity possessed by the people in our company -and what a smorgasbord to tap into! I look forward to introducing this enthusiasm and spirit of well being to Yorkton and surrounding communities, by activating our volunteers to blaze a fresh new trail in community pride and service while sharing as many fellowship opportunities as possible along the way! But then, don't take my word for it, let our "Actions" speak louder than my words.”

The first official Pioneer activity was the Exhibition Parade in downtown Yorkton on Saturday, July 10th. Ten adults and twenty-three children showed up to be part of the SecurTek float. It was an impressive turnout for a first event, and a beautiful day to spend outside. The day wrapped up with watermelon and beverages in a local park.
